I noticed a posting concerning the status of Keystone Music. We are
alive and well! We had hoped to have a catalog out earlier this year
but we have scanned so many more Ampico titles as well as choice
88-note rolls, including over a dozen of the long-play Jumbo rolls.
Some statistical data just for MMDers. We have now scanned (and
corrected many of) over 1300 popular titles out of approximately 1675
titles originally issued. We have scanned and have in our library
266 of the Ballad series rolls, out of the 306 issued. And we have
accessed with the original stencil master as well as corrected scans
of 1700 classical selections out of the approximately 2190 classical
rolls originally issued. We will have the most comprehensive catalog
of Ampico rolls _anywhere!_ If you are looking for a particular title
let us know.
We have just started to scan and re-cut corrected Welte Deluxe Rolls.
They need to be boxed and have the words printed on the popular titles
so they will not be available until late summer.
To all of our loyal customers, be patient -- our catalog will be mailed
out soon and will have many rare un-issued popular, classical and
ballad rolls, all for the first time corrected as per the original
stencil masters, all using the correct punch hole sizes and perforated
at the exact pull rates the company intended. This makes Keystone's
new recordings the only accurate piano rolls available today. You will
not be disappointed with our new recordings. Thanks.
