[ Ref. 100424 MMDigest, Music Box Interchangeable Cylinder Lists

I am replying to Joe Villani of Musical Wonder House regarding
four cylinders I have that are orphans.  I believe they could be
for a Mermod Frères music box since they are nickel plated instead
of polished brass.  They are 17-3/4 inches, in excellent condition,
with tune sheets.  The numbers are 61707, 116608, 118145, and 118156
stamped on the left end.

On two of them the number 515 is stamped at the left near the pins.
I believe that number is the ID number for the music box.  In Bowers'
"Encyclopedia", on page 55, the numbers 510, 511, 512, 520 and 521
are listed as identifying Mermod boxes.  I might be lucky and Joe or
someone viewing MMDigest would have the machine for sale, or would
just need the cylinders.  My phone is 1-619-275-0161 and I live in
San Diego, California.

It is good to know that someone is making a list of cylinders that
have become separated from the machine.  There seems to be quite
a few of them around out there.
