Fire Sale of Player Piano Parts
By Spencer Chase

I had a fire in my workshop while I was away from home. There was no
damage to the structure but everything is covered with soot and smoke
residue. A lot of my player piano stuff was in the attic so it is only
lightly coated. A cleanup company is going to remove everything from
the shop and we are going to decide what to clean and what to call
a loss. I am probably going to toss most of the player stuff as there
is little point in putting a lot of effort into cleaning parts that
will never be used. Unfortunately I do not have any place to store
a bunch of smelly stuff, just in case I do need it in the future.

I don't want to throw stuff away that others might be able to use and
will keep this in mind when sorting through everything. I mainly have
parts from Duo-Art and a little Welte Licensee stuff. If anyone needs
anything in particular, or if you have any other ideas about what to do
with this stuff, let me know.

Best regards,
Spencer Chase
