Organ Grinders with Live Monkeys
By Angelo Rulli

I've been doing organ grinding as an avocation since 1985 and have
thoroughly researched the idea of having a live monkey. I explored
liability insurance -- while listening to my insurance agent's
outrageous laughter at the thought -- that isn't an option.

I learned that disease, dangerous biting and severe discipline were the
real barriers to owning a monkey. PETA is the least of the obstacles.
Add recent federal laws that forbid keeping a monkey as a domestic pet
and it's a different world than those halcyon days of yore. Yet
grinding is a wonderful way to bring smiles to people of all ages.

Happy grinding,
Angelo Rulli
St. Paul, Minnesota
