Standard Pneumatic Exhauster Accenting Valve
By David Rodgers

Hello there, this post is in reference to my last question posted
in 100330 MMDigest. Upon skimming through my Reblitz, I came across
the discussion on the crash valve therein. As I said before, the gray
matter isn't what it used to be. Immediately, I remembered rebuilding
many of these whilst rebuilding Standard systems. In addition, I've
built so many components for player pianos and orchestrions when
originals were not available, that I'm sure I can come up with a
functional design that would perform the needed task.

However, I feel it would be so very useful to see an actual photo or
diagram of one so that I can copy what Kohler did instead of using my
own ideas. There valve was put through much R&D and has served many
years to prove its worth. I would have to start at R&D stage and hope
it panned out over time.

So, if anybody can help with a photo, drawing or diagram of that crash
valve, I'd be ever so grateful.

Thanks to all,
Dave Rodgers
