I recently had a call from a lady with an Ampico A in a Chickering
grand piano.  Years ago she had a technician from somewhere in Los
Angeles region work on the piano and ever since then the take-up spool
has been missing.  It has been so many years and she was so disgusted
with the technician that she won't contact him to find out if he even
has the spool.  I contacted him and he says he never took it.

The lady now wants the piano to work.  If you know where I can get
a take-up spool for an Ampico A which has the airtight bearing in the
left end please, let me know.
