Aeolian Orchestrelle Organ Directory
By Robert K. Wilson

Has anyone ever attempted to make a census or directory of
Aeolian-Orchestrelle organs and owners? Someone once told me that
there were only 200 or so Orchestrelles, but there must be many more
than that, as I know of at least five here in the Pacific Northwest.

The 58-note reed organs with pump action and paper rolls are a real
treat to hear. They are mostly wood and are much lighter than a piano
so they are easier to move. It would be nice to have a special
interest group of owners to exchange information and possibly rolls.
