FS: 1909 Nelson-Wiggen 5X
By Ken Houston

I have a 1909 Nelson-Wiggen nickelodeon that I am thinking of selling.
The machine was rebuilt in the mid 1980's and has been used very
little since. It played perfectly till I moved to the desert and
due to the dry climate some of the parts have dried and are probably
leaking. It needs to be in a more humid climate.

I can trace it back to the Raney collection in Southern California.
My father purchased it in the early 1950's and I understand that Walt
Disney purchased most of the collection shortly after. I have about
20 rolls, an original sales pamphlet and photos of the box in the Raney
collection, courtesy of Terry Hathaway. It is a 5X and the cabinet is
oak. I was told that the oak cabinet is somewhat rare. My father told
me that the machine was possibly in the manufacturer's home but I have
no proof of this. Any ideas as to its value?
