It has been a few years since I saw the delightful Doris Day film,
"On Moonlight Bay", or its sequel, "By the Light of the Silvery Moon",
but I do recall that the beautiful World-War-One era family home
depicted in these films contains a Weber pedal grand Pianola, which is
performed upon several times by the various family members and is used
as an accompaniment for singing.
I remember thinking that the musical arrangements on the rolls which
they use sound very much like the standard QRS rolls by J. Lawrence
Cook, especially the one for the title song, but I have not been able
to verify this. Perhaps there is someone out there who can shed some
light on this.
Happy New Year to all MMD readers.
