[Ref. 100101 MMDigest, Piano Rolls and the Future of Mechanical Music]
If QRS has no interest in producing more rolls (although I think
they're just behind in reassembling the roll cutting equipment)
(another account I heard is the equipment is set up and running),
perhaps it's time for a special interest group to lease the equipment
and titles from QRS and go into production. QRS would still retain and
house the equipment, just the special interest group runs and maintains
the equipment and does the shipping. I'm sure QRS would still rather
do the marketing, to retain their image.
Any thoughts?
