Seek "For the Advancement of Music" Paper Tag
By Paul Manganaro
Most old upright pianos have paper tags or stickers on the back of the
piano behind the pinblock area. The tag shows an image of the United
States and reads:
"National piano manufacturers assn.
For the advancement of music."
I was wondering if anyone has a cleaned up image they would share.
I had to remove one while cleaning up the back of a Seeburg and it
would be fun to put it back in place.
Thank you.

[ "The sticker relates to a program that occurred just before World
[ War I called 'For the Advancement of Music.' In the early 1900s,
[ there was a significant increase in the number of misleading
[ 'stencil' pianos in the marketplace, which led to the establishment
[ of this program."
