Dear MMDs, The traditional auction of mechanical music and automatas
will take place in Chartres (1 hour from Paris, France) on Sunday
afternoon, December 6th, 2009. About 200 items are for sale:
- About 40 good automatas, amidst them a clown with a ladder, by Vichy
- About 60 items in mechanical music, amidst them :
- A good "Boîte de gare" style musical box, coin-operated, with three
dancing dolls and an automatic curtain
- A good portable Gavioli organ, "UNIFLÛTE GAVIOLI et Cie BRVtés SGDG
rue de CITEAUX Fbg ST ANTOINE PARIS", 26 keys, 9 tunes.
- Musical pictures, amidst them a large WURTEL one, and a small
animated picture with a barrel organ player and its monkey in
a street surrounding
- A Triola zither and a small Verbena Spanish cylinder piano
- Many cylinder and disc musical boxes
- An interesting musical table distributing tokens
- Fine musical snuffboxes
- Many musical novelties and some documentation.
- Some 30 phonographs
- About 40 arcade machines
A large auction of dolls will take place the day before (Saturday 5th).
