My Favorite Wurlitzer Band Organ on YouTube
By Jerry F. Bacon

Today I'm in heaven! I have just found, on YouTube, the best
recording of my favorite Wurlitzer band organ, a Style 153. They
have an ensemble sound that is just terrific to my ears.

Years ago I used to care for the organs at Six Flags in Arlington,
Texas, and these sounds brought back memories of pleasant evenings,
after the park closed. I would turn on the 153 we had and wander
over the closed park, I could hear it most everywhere.

The organ in question on YouTube is from Como Park in St Paul,
Minnesota. The recording of it is flawless and it brought tears to
my eyes. The title on the organ is "Cafesjian's Carousel". I wish
they had the roll that has "Dew Dew Dewy Day" and "Paddlin' Madelin'
Home". I more than highly recommend giving it a listen.

Kindest Regards,
Jerry F Bacon
