Mortier Dance Organ
By Andy Hood

I have in my LP collection a Decca record, dated 1966, titled "Dance to
the Mortier Organ." According to the text on the jacket, the organ is
a 112-key Mortier dance organ. Apparently it was bought by the late
George Cushing of Norfolk for his collection, which later became the
Thursford Collection.

I have, however, looked on the Thursford website, and they do not
appear to have this organ any longer. Does anyone know what happened
to it or where it is now?

Up here in Aberdeenshire we have a Mortier dance organ in working order
in the Grampian Transport Museum at Alford.
