Seek Reiterating Valve for Snare Drum Pneumatic
By Vic Searle
An ex-student of mine is resurrecting a Mikune 125 electronic band
organ we built over 50 years ago. All the parts have arrived in Texas
except the bell bars and snare drum beater.
When I was actively building band organs I was able to get, from where
I don't remember, a little brass gizmo that connected to the beater
noomatic and it had a plunger which cut off the vacuum alternately.
Does anyone know who made them or where they can be located?
I sent the box of bell bars and beater to Texas on July 6 and it still
hasn't been delivered. The local post office tracked it and it arrived
in the US on August 10th. The U.S. Postal Service refuses to track it
because it was international mail. In order to have to do something
about it I would have to send a request, plus a photo of the parcel
contents and purchase receipts to verify the value. Since I bought the
stuff 30 years ago, and the box is lost, how ridiculous can one get?!
No wonder the U.S.P.S. is losing billions of $ a year if they treat all
their customers alike. Pardon the rant ½%@% but I'm really P.O.ed.
I hope someone will know where to find a repeating valve gizmo.
