Seek Photos of Seeburg Pump Connecting Rods
By Eric Bergstrom
I'm currently working on a Seeburg E coin piano for a customer which
is missing the two connecting rods from the crankshaft to the pump
bellows. Apparently someone electrified it when the pumps stopped
working. Since the flywheel/crankshaft needs to turn to power the
transmission and drive the roll, the pumps were disabled by removing
the connecting rods. Now the rods are lost.
I was wondering if anyone out there has access to a set of these pumps
where a few measurements and close-up photos could be taken so a new
set could be duplicated. Or by chance if anyone has ever made a set
and documented the dimensions, or would be able to make another set.
I think these pumps were used in various Seeburg machines, so it
doesn't have to be only from a type 'E'. They are a horizontal pump,
with the flywheel to the rear and the connecting rods are about a foot
long with a slight 'S' shape. If anyone can help please drop me a note
or give me a call.
