Those signatures were most probably written in a now-obsolete German
script, quite difficult for an English speaking and writing person
to read today.  See if you can locate someone familiar with the old
script, possibly a college professor of German.  My own education in
the old script was curtailed in 1964 when my grandmother passed away.
She was quite familiar with it.
