Replacement Parts from Bob Streicher
By Bruce Mercer

Sadly, the folks that we have relied on for many years, for parts and
specialty items to enable our reproducers to play as new, are slowly
leaving the fold. I just got a batch of beautiful new "A" switches,
a "B" play brake, some springs and other assorted parts. Each time I
open the box I think how beautifully these parts are made. I told Bob
it was a shame to put them below a panel because they were so pretty.

These parts and people are not going to be around forever (myself
included), so I urge everybody to take inventory. See what you could
use now and think about what you might need in the future because NOW
is the time to stock up. Quality, unfortunately, does not knock on my
door on a daily basis. Since I recognize it when I see it, I'm going
to start stocking up for the day when it is no long able to be found at
any price.

I think Bob's part are certainly reasonable in price and not once in
at least 40 years have I ever had to send anything back. He has made
a tremendous and lasting contribution to our passion over the years.

A word to the wise: take a quick inventory of what you have and what
you may be needing in the coming years and call Bob for quality that
cannot be beat. He is not on-line but may be reached at
