I've just acquired a 19-5/8 Polyphon 104 from an old timer. It was
his father's and had stood, rooted in the same spot in their lounge,
since 1925.
The mechanism is obviously unrestored, as is the cabinet. There
is no pediment, but the shallow drawer case is without doubt the
finest example I've seen in 25 years of collecting. Comes with 12
superb discs and no discernible wear to either the combs or starwheels.
They just don't come along like this anymore. There is a good usable
antique storebin with it, but it's _not_ Polyphon.
So if you fancy a collector quality Polyphon, one that needs only
a light general service to put back into optimum playing order, get
in touch.
