Constructing a MIDI Calliope & Topsy MIDI Organ
By John Smith

Anyone thinking of building their first MIDI instrument may find
my building Topsy package very useful. This describes the
building of my compact 64-key MIDI organ, most of the text goes
into the implementation of MIDI for the first-time user, specifically
regarding mechanical organs.

It is a very practical guide to MIDI including auxiliary circuits
and some of the alternatives that can be used. The DVD shows the
construction of the organ which includes some unique features.

I have specialised over the last 14 years in producing practical plans
to let people build their own organs. I did this because I found that
too many articles and books on organs did not give the detailed
information I needed to actually make anything.
