Regarding Claudine Jones posting in the 090627 MMD -- I just have to
correct her in that the band organ playing "California Here I Come"
was an AMICA project for last year's convention in Woodland Hills.
It probably isn't that important to most, but having spent over two
years working on them, and hearing "California Here I Come" probably
300 times at least over that time period, I just couldn't let the
credit for the project go to another group. It was a huge undertaking,
and one which gave us much pleasure and appreciation from those
receiving them.
By the way, we have about twelve of those same Wurlitzer 105 band organ
table favors newly made up and available for sale. They are $50 each,
including postage in the Continental U.S.A. They are really nice, and
if you want one, let me know. (They are original table favors, made up
from spare parts after the AMICA convention.)
These favors have been favorites of collectors, and highly sought
after. We had parts left, but were delayed by the laser cutting due
to Larry Crehore having an accident, and then Frank's health problems.
They are ready now, and those who have already ordered them will be
contacted shortly, if they haven't heard already.
