Seeburg E Nickelodeon Rewind
By Stephen Kent Goodman

> How do you get the piano "A" roll to rewind in the middle of a song?

Most Seeburgs were equipped with a small push-button operated pallet
located on the roll frame (not on the outside of the piano) to allow
immediate rewind of the roll. This button is located on the left side
and immediately behind the tracker bar top.

The tubing is from the rewind hole (hole number 63 counting from the
right) tubed to the first nipple of the pallet block, then the tubing
continues connecting the left nipple of the block (pointing towards the
re-roll shifter) tubed into the rewind nipple of the shifter.

The exception I have seen are on very early Seeburgs where there is
a mechanical linkage on the large rewind pneumatic, which operates
a swivel on the rewind/reroll block itself. In that case, once the
large rewind pneumatic is pushed (collapsed) in to the rewind position
by hand, the rewind action then locks until it is canceled by hole
number 3.
