Uebelmesser Welte-Mignon Spool Drive Patent
By Karl Petersen

Re: Charles R. Uebelmesser patent 1,605,303, filed April 21, 1921,
Transmission Mechanism for Record Controlled Musical Instruments,
assigned to Welte-Mignon Corporation of New York.

I am putting together a research paper on Uebelmesser. Can anyone tell
me if his design was actually used in Welte-Mignon pianos? It is the
only patent by Uebelmesser in a very wide period which was not assigned
to Albert H.T. Banzhaf of United Artists and the Cruban Steam Car
company.
