Seek Bench for Early Mason & Hamlin Ampico A
By Randy Hammond

I own a 5'8" Mason and Hamlin Ampico A. It is a (C)AR, serial number
33089. Supposedly, it is one of the very early Mason's, shipped after
American Piano Company acquired Mason and Hamlin. It is the standard
Mason with the V style legs.

The piano came without a bench. As far as original benches go with
this style of Mason, I have only seen one with its original and that
one had a pretty standard Tonka bench that was about an inch or so
shorter than a regular player piano bench.

Was there a matching bench to this piano which somehow complements the
V legs of the piano or do I just need to look for a short Tonka bench?
