Working Conditions at Player Piano Factories
By Darryl Zempel

To all MMD'rs: Are there any records of interviews with people that
worked at player piano and reproducing piano factories? It would be
interesting to get the worker's slant on working conditions, supervisory
treatment and quality provisions in these factories.

Pictures which I've seen seem to portray fairly dark, possibly cold
cave type places, and possibly company towns such as Kohler, Wisconsin,
which was the center of the plumbing industry.

Sincerely, Darryl Zempel
