Making an Endless Screw for a Musical Box
By Fred Longrigg

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

Forty years ago I made a couple of endless screws for a musical box,
using a toolpost grinder which I made for the job. I cannot now recall
the details of the endless screw: its threads per inch, the thread shape
or its depth. Please, may I ask, does anyone know where I could find
these facts?

Years ago I had a number of articles from a USA musical box magazine
giving very good instruction in making endless screws. That was in the
1960s. Can anyone recall these articles?

Thanks,
