Dr. Kathryn Fuller and I are writing a book, "1000 Nights at the Movies,"
to be published by Whitman Publishing LLC. This will be about the
exhibition of motion pictures in the United States, from the first such
events in 1895 down to the twilight of the "nickelodeon" era in 1915.
If anyone has a clear, crisp photograph or two of a Continental or
British showfront with a Marenghi, Gavioli, or similar organ -- the type
measuring perhaps 20 or more feet wide, with entry door to the back,
etc., and used with Biograph and related shows -- we would be delighted
to be able to use the image, with credit.
Thanks,
Dave Bowers
