USPS Parcel Post is Slow
By John Dewey

Beware of U.S. Postal Service (USPS) regular parcel post. A customer
shipped me a Steinway action frame that took 19 days to come 140 miles.
He shipped it regular parcel post with the U.S. Postal Service.

I discovered that even though it was insured for $2500.00 the Post
Office will not even start to look for it until 21 days after it has
been shipped. I am not sure but think if you ship "Priority Mail" the
service may be better. My experience is UPS will start to look the day
after it was scheduled for delivery.
