I have a TriumphAuto (London) player piano that I restored about twenty
years ago. I restored it from bare frame (re-pinned, re-strung, etc.).
The lead tubing was, and still is, like new, even though everything
else was badly rusted when I got it. I had to make a special tool for
re-covering the small pneumatic boards that move parallel to the fixed
boards in the player action, as opposed to the usual hinged board
arrangement.
I automated the re-roll and have an electrified three-level vacuum
supply arrangement: one level for play, one for re-roll, and one for
Themodist operation. It plays very well, and music rolls that take
advantage of the Themodist feature really add expression to the music.
The best rolls are Triumph brand, and of the many I have, the best one
is "The Count of Monte Christo."
I agree with Stephen McVicar that the Autopiano action seems to be very
well-made. In Steve's posting there is a link to a website where the
Triumph catalog can be obtained, but I can't get it to open now.
Perhaps someone has an electronic copy that he would be kind enough to
send?

[ In a comment to Steve's posting to the 081023 MMD, Robbie added a
[ link to the site where Adam Ramet offers the Triumph catalog for
[ downloading. But that catalog is in the form of a PDF file, which
[ requires software like Adobe Reader to open it. It opened for me.

[ Adobe reader is a free download and having an up to date version
[ of it on your computer is very worthwhile. It can be downloaded
[ from http://www.adobe.com by clicking on the "Get Adobe Reader"
[ icon. The Triumph catalog is at: http://www.themodist.com/t2.pdf
