Hi all, After I sent yesterday's notice of my auction and said how
beautiful the Blue Ridge parkway was, I realized that I should have
mentioned about the joint chapter meeting of the Piedmont and Southeast
Chapters of MBSI in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, October 31 to November 2,
2008. What a perfect time to visit Virginia, North Carolina, and
Tennessee, on the parkway, and attend a fun filled weekend with music
box people over that weekend.
So, for those who have never been a member and would like to know more
about the Music Box Society, I am extending my personal invitation for
you to travel either up or down the Blue Ridge parkway, from/to Virginia,
through North Carolina, to/from Tennessee and join with us for a
wonderful fun filled weekend and/or week in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
There are lots of things to do and see in the Gatlinburg area and also
you can visit the First Nation of Cherokee. Not all Cherokee walked
the Trail of Tears to the Indian reservation in Oklahoma, and their
ancestors still live on their land in the Great Smoky Mountains of
Tennessee and would love for you to visit them, too!
Registration for the MBSI meeting is Friday night, and the prime MBSI
festivities are on Saturday and you are free to enjoy the area both
before and after. For those who wish to see Dollywood, see it first
as it will be closed Nov 2 to 7.
Of course I am extending the invitation, but you have to pay the
registration fee of a mere $5.00, and all hotel/motel, food, admissions
fees and other costs yourself. Another bonus is if you decide how
much fun it is to be a member of MBSI, I believe that we will offer
a discount coupon for membership during that weekend to new prospective
members.
If you think you would love to visit the beautiful area, and especially
the Blue Ridge Parkway, and join in with us, please contact me and
I will provide you the information. Come join us for some great
Southern Hospitality!
