Most years in the 1980s my work took me down to San Francisco and
on many of those visits I went to see Ray Siou. Not easy to get on
with at first until he got to know you, and that is the right attitude
most times.
Around 1983 I started making "O" rolls and Ray encouraged me to sell
them, so I took my first 'master' copy and he then arranged for all
the rest and the sales, etc.
Let us not forget, he dealt in nearly every type of music roll
besides the Wurlitzer O's, A's, G's, H's and others, plus some regular
88-note and silent movie 88-note long play type.
Before the big 1989 "World Series" earthquake in San Francisco, he
noticed his cats doing an unusual 'dance' and then the earthquake
happened!
