Restoring Orchestrion Percussion Instruments
By Robert Loeffler

The only company that "professionally" re-skins drum heads is Stern
Tanning Co. I have used them for years and they do very good work at
a reasonable price. All restorers that I have observed have contracted
out to this company. I personally wouldn't settle for less. If the
wooden hoops are damaged or warped they will make new ones. They also
use special holders to have the leather dry correctly and not warp or
twist the hoop. I highly recommend them: http://www.sterntanning.com/

Happy Restoring,
Musically, Robert Loeffler
