Mechanical Music in Big Bear Lake, California
By Justin Senneff

Dear Readers, Nottinghams Restaurant, in the mountain town of
Big Bear Lake, California, displays a fully restored Coinola CX
orchestrion, a stand-up Regina musical box (I am not sure about the
condition) and what appears to be a North Tonawanda Musical Instrument
Works model 191 or 173 band organ. (Information on a little card
next to the organ says it's a model "146".) The organ was converted
to play Wurlitzer 125 style rolls.

This restaurant would be an excellent place to promote our hobby
(with brochures, etc.). They play the Coinola every Sunday morning
at breakfast and whenever you request it to be played.

Cordially,
Justin Senneff
