The picture that Mr. Pier mentioned, of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Ruth organ in the center of the Looff merry-go-round with the facade
showing, is shown in two places in the old plunge building that now
occupies the miniature golf course and other amusement games for
visitors to see.

The first location is upstairs where the pool tables are that is called
the "Historium" with many other historical photos of the Boardwalk
blown up for view.  The second spot is across from the "Laughing Sal"
exhibit that faces the bay and ocean.  It lists all of the former
beachfront amusement parks in California.

In addition to photos of those parks of yesteryear there are a few
photos of the Boardwalk, including the mentioned Looff merry-go-round
photo with the Ruth band organ in the center with the facade showing.
I remember reading that photo was taken right after the Looff
merry-go-round first opened in 1911.

Word of when the Ruth will return and begin playing again would be much
appreciated.
