Well, we finished with the AMICA Convention last week, and now all
of you who are attending the MBSI Convention in Las Vegas need to get
registered. The convention will be held at the wonderful Flamingo
Hotel in the center of the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas has a mystique all it's own and there isn't anywhere like
it any place else. The hotels alone are worth the trip: you can find
yourself in Paris, in Venice, standing by an erupting volcano, at the
circus, and more, just for a walk.
Gambling, of course, comes to mind, but the shows in Vegas are amazing
and always top notch, with wonderful performers. You won't find the
range of shows anywhere else.
You will enjoy the trip through the Hoover Dam, which I understand
is being led by a comic; that should be a blast. The Liberace Museum,
too, is a place you can't miss. You remember Liberace -- not exactly
the quiet, understated performer! If you remember his outlandish
costumes you will want to see them up close; they are even more
impressive "in person".
The MBSI workshops sound super, and you won't want to miss them.
There is an auction planned, with many exceptional items offered,
and the banquet will have great entertainment also. All this and
a presentation on the Guinness collection, and the wonderful Maloof
collection -- how can you miss?
The dates are August 27-30, 2008. For full information on this Vegas
event, go to http://www.mbsi.org/ Hurry, registration is due now.
Don't be left out!
