FS: Quarter Sawn Oak Veneer
By Gregory Filardo

I have a very limited quantity of original piano veneer which is
1/16-inch thick. Each sheet is approximately 10 inches wide and
10 feet 8 inches long.

This wood was sliced around 1910-1920. Anyone who has worked with
oak knows that it takes at least 50 years for it to age and yellow.
This is the reason that even new quarter sawn oak (if you can even
get it) will not match.

This is a very rare opportunity to acquire the absolutely correct
veneer for your band organ or piano. This sliced log was purchased by
me in 1971 when the freeway around Indianapolis was being constructed,
necessitating the demolition of the lumber business. It was found in
a lumber supply company which had been in business since the 1880s,
and had never been sold.

I have 42 sheets and that is all. If you are interested, please
contact me.
