Duo-Art 70308 Griffes "Scherzo", pb Reuter
By Larry Doe

Hello David, In recognition of the rarity of your Duo-Art roll,
I would be willing to do the scan for you. I am located in Hyde Park,
New York. I designed and built nine archival quality MK4 scanners
including the ones Terry Smythe and Warren Trachtman are using.

My scanner is up and running and ready to go. Your roll can be returned
the next day after it arrives here. I do not have a perforator (yet)
but if you or Dean Howe are acquainted with any members of the PPG in
the UK, you may inquire about the possibility of having your roll
punched (not for profit) on their Harry Medcraft perforator which is
set up for Duo-Art. They did a fine recut of a Gershwin roll I scanned
about two years ago. I believe their perforator is for members use
only, but they might make an exception in your case. If not, I'm sure
another MMDer will jump at the opportunity to recut this particular
roll.

Would you mind if I added the scan of your roll to the archive at
http://www.IAMMP.org/ ? Among the 6000+ titles this site contains,
hundreds of them were scanned on my MK4 scanner. The MK4 produces
CIS image files with 300 lines per inch resolution. I am also able to
render MIDI files with emulated expression using Warren's excellent
software. Additionally, I am able to generate punch MIDI files.
