Wiggly line in treble, dots in bass -- it can only be one thing:
a Metrostyle or Themodist roll! No words, naturally, as these rolls
never had them.
The music will sound familiar to many Pianola-owners, being one of
Moritz Moszkowski's many Spanish Dances. This particular roll happens
to be "Spanish Dance Op 12 No 3", on Themodist T82556.
Rolls of these dances abound and I'd guess the film-makers just picked
the roll randomly from those that came with the player. Since the
demise of Horowitz and his encore-piece of "Etincelles", pretty well
nobody other than pianola-owners play Moszkowski these days, which is
rather a pity.
