Hi, APrint is a free software that allows users to listen to a MIDI
file regarding an instrument and its capability. It also permits
one to print the barrel organ book music.
In the version published in April, you have the possibility to listen
the MIDI file with the real instrument's sound. Only one instrument is
provided out of the box for the moment, it is Pierre Louis Freydiere's
52-key Limonaire. You also have a picture of the instrument.
In the future version of APrint we wish to include more instrument
sounds, and that's the purpose of this simple message.
If you want to be able to listen a MIDI file of your own instrument
(and there is a real difference between a MIDI instrument and your
instrument -- we have experienced that!), and if you also will permit
APrint's users to have a listening preview of a piece of music played
on your instrument, then it's quite simple:
- Record on a digital recorder device each note of your instrument
(*.wav format is a good option)
- Send the recorded sound back to me with a picture of your instrument
(this will also be included in the software instrument preview).
For any technical questions or wishes, don't hesitate to contact me,
my email address is on my web site.
I'll personally send you a preview of the software with your instrument
for validation. Thanks for your contributions!
Kind regards,
