Reproduco Tempo Adjustment
By Tyler J. Smith

My Reproduco had a non-original [roll drive] motor and played at
a questionable tempo. The alternate pulley shaft that came with
it was way off for playing the longer rolls (much too fast).

I replaced the motor with a geared DC motor and a speed controller.
These are rather expensive but I got mine reasonably by buying
unused outdated models on eBay. The geared motor made the cabinet
resonate when first installed. I made a "floating" mount by
sandwiching a couple of layers of carpet foam between plywood layers.
Works fine, with continuously variable tempo.
