Reproduco Tempo Adjustment
By Ken Vinen

Mike, Roll speed on the Reproduco is not adjustable in infinite
steps. The only speed change available to you, the operator, is
a step pulley.

OS (Organ Series) rolls are played at the 1-to-1 speed which is the
fastest. NOS (New Organ Series) rolls are played at 1-to-2 speed
which is half the 1-to-1 speed. This allowed the same length of
paper to play for twice the time, avoiding so many silent periods
while the music was rewinding.

One thing that is absolutely important is the speed of the motor.
If the motor is not original, there is a very good chance that the
replacement is not the correct speed.

I had a nasty time with my Reproduco (which is presently being
sold on eBay). Living in [Eastern] Canada, the original motor was
for 25 cycles per second mains. When the changeover to 60 Hz power
happened, some fool just changed the motor and did not check the RPM,
resulting in the music playing way too fast. I contacted Harvey
Roehl who was kind enough to send me the motor speed information
required. Next I located a proper [60 Hz] original motor and all
has been well since.

There is wonderful music to be enjoyed from a Reproduco but I must
part with mine to make space for my newest toy: a long sought after
Seeburg "G".
