The Carousel Organ Association of America (COAA) and Knoebels
Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, will host an organ rally
on June 28-29, 2008. In addition to the beautiful surroundings in
the foothills of Central Pennsylvania, and a built-in audience for
our own musical treasures, Knoebels will be treating COAA to a tasty
picnic dinner on Saturday and an opportunity to view their private
collection of organs with Orgelmeister Dave Wynn.
From its humble beginnings with a swimming pool and carousel in 1926,
Knoebels has grown to become one of America's premier traditional
amusement parks. The third generation of the Knoebel family welcomes
you to come and enjoy nature's beauty under the canopy of hemlock
trees that first brought folks to the area. Free parking, free
admission, and free entertainment are hallmarks of Knoebel hospitality.
Good food, great coasters, vintage rides and eight organs are further
icing on the cake. Did I mention that dogs are welcome too?
As president of COAA, I would like to open the invitation to anyone
to register for this rally and give you an opportunity to see what
COAA is all about. You do not have to be a COAA member to register.
Contact me, Ted Guillaum, at <organgrinderted@bellsouth.net> and
I will send you a registration form, or go to our web site at
http://www.coaa.us/ The registration fee is only $15.00. This is
the same fee for all our rallies.
Group rates for accommodations are available at the Quality Inn &
Suites in Danville, PA. To learn more about Knoebels Amusement
Resort visit their web site at http://www.knoebels.com/
Thank you,
Ted Guillaum - COAA President and Host for Knoebels Organ Rally
