Seek Chromatic Paper Strip Musical Box Movement
By Karlheinz Essl

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMDigest --

Dear MMD readers, I am looking for a punched tape controlled music
box with chromatic tuning in a range of two octaves. I own a diatonic
instrument of such a kind, but for a new compositional project I need
a chromatic one which I can program myself using punched tape.

Does such an instrument exist? Does anybody know somebody who is able
to build it?

Greetings from Vienna,
Karlheinz Essl - composer/performer

[ MMDigest articles about the 20-note Sankyo manivelle
[ (hand-cranked) paper strip musical movement are indexed
 [ at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Archives/KWIC/S/sankyo.html
[ Could two 20-note Sankyo movements be joined, and then
 [ re-tuned, to make a 40-note chromatic movement? -- Robbie
