The April 2008 issue of the COAA's "Carousel Organ" magazine arrived
yesterday. From my perspective, this is the most useful one yet.
* Dave Wasson wrote part 1 of a two-part article on making wood band-
organ pipes. Lots of good photos, and step-by-step procedural explana-
tions.
* I wrote about my experiences in building a small roll punch, printing
roll templates with MidiBoek, and punching some rolls for the John
Smith organ.
* Matt Caulfield wrote about a form of chest construction patented by
Charles Jameson, embodying the unit block concept adopted by Wurlitzer.
It doesn't include much history, but the last issue didn't have much
"how-to." Great work (as usual) by Ron Bopp!
