Weber Duo-Art Motor Problem
By Glenn Roat

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMDigest --

I thought I would share my solution to my Duo-Art motor problem
[080303 MMDigest]. The basic problem was poor electrical contact
within the motor for the start winding, due to a groove being worn
in the bronze split hub.

I solved the problem by soldering a new set of small contacts onto the
existing copper contact plates. These new contacts make contact with
the bronze split hub in an area away from the groove, providing good
electrical contact. My thanks to Spencer Chase for his suggestions.

Regards,
Glenn Roat
