Kim Bunker died suddenly at his home, in Tustin, California, on
March 15, 2008. He was born on September 27, 1951, and raised in
Bellevue and Snohomish. He attended Snohomish High School and
graduated in 1970.
Kim entered the entertainment field as a professional piano player
while still in high school. He played for various venues in Seattle
for several years and then focused on putting his piano skills to
work in piano sales. He quickly became a top-producer at a young age
and decided to move to California where he continued to sell pianos
for various companies.
Through his career in piano sales he established a fondness for
antique pianos, organs and antique mechanical instruments. He
developed his knowledge of restoring and refurbishing and then late
in 1980 he and partner Tom Sheen co-founded Orange Coast Piano in
Santa Ana, California.
Services will be held in California on Tuesday, March 18, and in
Washington on April 5th.
