How Piano Rolls Were Made
By Alan Wallace

[ Jeff Taylor asked in 080317 MMDigest:
[> Were there any articles about the making of piano rolls

In answer to how piano rolls were made, take a look at the following
on Mike Medding's pages: http://www.doctorjazz.co.uk/youasked.html

This will show _one_ way such rolls were made. There were also
hand punches and various other combinations. Mike's pages are
a good start to finding such information.
