"Zampa" Ampico 64313
By Vincent Morgan

I discovered in my roll library two rolls numbered 64313. The original
Ampico Corporation roll, labeled "Zampa", is marked to be played at
Tempo 95, but the Keystone re-cut labeled "Zampa Overture", which
matches the Ampico Corporation original hole for hole, is marked to be
played at Tempo 70. The Keystone re-cut plays for 10 minutes, while
the original plays for 6 minutes and 55 seconds. Why the difference in
tempos? Perhaps this is a question for Rich Groman. Any thoughts?
