Extra Holes in Aeolian Tracker Bar
By Steve Dibble

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMDigest --

I was looking over an otherwise standard 88-note Weber upright with
the Aeolian action today and there were an extra 16 holes centrally
placed above the normal tracker bar holes. These were in pairs and
shaped like this ( ) over alternate notes. Does anyone have any
idea what they might be for?

The owner wishes to sell this player (which is in need of complete
restoration) along with an Aeolian 65-note push-up player if anyone
out there is interested.
