"Virtuoso" Piano Roll With Large Holes
By Claud Cavnar

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMDigest --

Hi, I have a "Virtuoso" roll where the holes are approx. 1/8".
They also go out to within 1/2" of the edge of the paper. It's
the same size as a regular 88-note roll. I gave it a whirl on
my player piano and talk about weird sounding!

It doesn't appear to have been reglued on a different cardboard
tube and the end caps have the same "Friestedt Spool" listing
as many regular 88-note piano rolls.

Any info you can share on what kind of instrument it would play?
The holes appear to be punched 8 holes to an inch.

Thanks, Claud Cavnar
